You Know Best - Satrix Golf Clinic a Resounding Success

The lucky winners of our #YouKnowBest Exclusive VIP Women’s Day Golf Clinic Experience, together with some of our long-standing clients, recently enjoyed a fun-filled day of golfing and networking with like-minded investors at the prestigious Houghton Golf Club in Johannesburg.

Our CEO, Fikile Mbhokota, and many of the Satrix team were there on the day to interact with the winners over a delicious breakfast and lunch, and to try their hand at golfing.

Attendees at the golf clinic took part in three core activities: Putting, Chipping and Driving or Long Game. In addition, there were also various prize-winning activities on the day, including Golf Trivia Quiz Questions and other golfing-related competitions.

Making Investing Accessible to Women

The Satrix advertising slogan is “let’s talk about money” and we believe in getting the money talk out into the open, especially for women, and getting as many women as possible interested in investing and taking charge of their finances. We do this by enabling new investors through providing trustworthy investment education and also through ensuring easy access to financial markets through our investment platform, SatrixNOW.

Background to Our #YouKnowBest Social Media Competition

In recognition of the role that women play in South African society and the economy, we ran a social media competition during Women’s Month called #You Know Best, giving first-time female investors a chance to win. Entrants shared their investing goals on our social media platforms and thereafter registered and invested through Satrix. Winners received a R2 000 SatrixNOW voucher, a copy of The Little Book of Common Sense Investing, signed by our CEO, and a VIP invite to the #YouKnowBest exclusive Golf Clinic.

Through our competition, we aimed to recognise the power, resilience, and wisdom of women and aimed to encourage them to invest in themselves and their dreams.

It was about acknowledging that every individual knows what's best for their financial future, and that we are here to provide industry knowledge and expertise to help them make informed investment decisions.
