SALTA 2024: Satrix Scoops 10 Awards

South Africa and the US will hold elections in the same year, for the first time since 2004. The power of vote cannot be overstated, even on a smaller, industry-specific, scale. This is why Satrix holds the People’s Choice Award at the annual South African Listed Tracker Fund Awards (SALTAs) so dear to our hearts. 

Satrix took home the People’s Choice Award for the seventh consecutive time at this year’s event, hosted by etfSA and sponsored by the JSE, Profile Data, and Refinitiv (an LSEG business). 

“We don’t take this win for granted,” says Satrix Head of Brand, René Basson “To be selected, by popular vote, is such an honour, and an indication that our investors believe in us and the work that we’re doing.”

Satrix also scooped 10 awards on the night, including awards in the the Best Capital Raising and Best Tracking Efficiency categories. 

Now in its seventh year, the annual SALTAs recognise key players in the domestic exchange-traded products (ETP) industry. The awards and event are adjudicated and organised by independent service providers, measuring:

• Efficiency in tracking indices (tracking error) over a three-year period.
• Success in raising new capital through ETF listings on the JSE one and three-year period. 
• Trading efficiency over three-year period.
• Two “People’s Awards”, for the favourite exchange-traded products, chosen by online poll.
